We are looking for…

We are looking for two IAM Domain Experts-one with a strategic leadership focus and one with a tactical, hands-on focus-to support a major programme aimed at strengthening our client’s enterprise-wide Identity & Access Management (IAM) landscape. You will join a high-impact team tasked with conducting a complex IAM gap assessment across multiple IT domains, covering identity lifecycle, authentication, authorization, PAM, and regulatory alignment.

Whether you are a senior consultant capable of advising C-level stakeholders on remediation strategy or a technical practitioner skilled at deep-diving into infrastructure configurations, your contribution will be vital in reaching a compliant and sustainable IAM state for a global financial institution.

Outcomes of the project (SMART)

  • For the Strategic Lead: Documented assessment outcomes, root-cause remediation recommendations, and a final enterprise-level report on IAM gaps and sustainability steps.

  • For the Tactical Expert: A complete and structured IAM data set, clear configuration analyses, and traceable evidence for remediation preparation.

  • Alignment: Successfully completed stakeholder alignment sessions (Lead) and technical workshops (Tactical) to ensure findings are accepted and actionable.

  • Compliance: All outputs must align with regulatory expectations including DORA, GDPR, ISO 27001, and NIST frameworks.

About the role

As an IAM Domain Expert, you are responsible for bridging the gap between current state vulnerabilities and future state security.

If you are in the Strategic Lead role, you will:

  • Lead critical parts of the enterprise-wide IAM gap assessment.

  • Translate complex findings into concrete remediation recommendations and risk impact analyses.

  • Advise senior stakeholders and C-level management on feasible next steps and strategic roadmaps.

If you are in the Tactical Execution role, you will:

  • Provide hands-on support for data collection and structuring across several IT domains.

  • Analyse system and access configurations to identify inconsistencies or technical gaps.

  • Prepare and execute technical workshops with internal specialists to validate findings.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting IAM maturity assessments and capability reviews at an enterprise scale.

  • Analysing IAM controls and processes across diverse IT environments.

  • Strategic focus: High-level stakeholder management and defining remediation roadmaps.

  • Tactical focus: Interpreting infrastructure data sets and providing traceable evidence for audit readiness.

  • Additional activities: Defining clear roles and responsibilities as part of the test strategy, coaching and aligning delivery team members in relevant aspects of testing and IAM best practices.

Who are you?

Experience

  • Strategic Lead: Deep expertise in Identity Management, PAM, and Auth, with proven experience leading assessments in large, complex organisations.

  • Tactical Expert: Strong senior-level practitioner experience with a focus on configuration reviews and data-driven gap analysis.

  • Both: Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks (DORA, GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST) within the financial services sector.

Profile

  • Lead Profile: Exceptional influencer and communicator (English and/or Dutch) capable of navigating C-level governance landscapes.

  • Tactical Profile: Analytical specialist who enjoys deep-diving into data and translating technical configurations into practical observations.

  • Education: Relevant higher education degree (Computer Science, Info Security, IT Audit).

  • Certifications: Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor are highly preferred.

  • Location: For the tactical role, being based in the Netherlands is required.
