We’re looking for an experienced Senior iOS Platform Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team responsible for evolving the iOS Engineering Platform used across one of the Netherlands’ largest mobile banking environments.

This isn’t a traditional feature development role. Instead, you’ll build the tools, frameworks, and platform capabilities that enable multiple product teams to deliver high-quality software faster, more reliably, and at scale.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of professional iOS development experience using Swift.

• Proven experience working on an iOS Platform, Developer Experience (DevEx), or Mobile Infrastructure team.

• Strong experience designing and maintaining reusable SDKs, frameworks, libraries, or developer tooling.

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, build automation, and engineering productivity tooling.

• Strong knowledge of Swift Concurrency, GCD, Combine, or other asynchronous programming models.

• Experience working with large-scale modular architectures and complex codebases.

• Experience modernising legacy applications and supporting migrations across codebases.

• Strong understanding of software architecture patterns such as Clean Architecture or VIPER.

• Experience profiling and improving application performance, including memory usage, startup time, and CPU optimisation.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple engineering teams.

• Self-driven with the ability to lead technical initiatives from concept through delivery.

Nice to Have

• Experience with modern build systems and project generation tools such as Bazel, Tuist, XcodeGen, Buck, or Swift Package Manager.

• Experience contributing to internal engineering platforms or shared infrastructure.

• Knowledge of observability, monitoring, and mobile telemetry.

• Experience applying AI-assisted engineering practices.

• Knowledge of Accessibility best practices for iOS applications.
