inux Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Linux Engineer with SAS expertise to support and improve business-critical data platforms. In this role, you will work with RedHat Linux, SAS environments and shell scripting to ensure stable, secure and performant systems. You will manage SAS installations, automate operational tasks, troubleshoot issues and collaborate with technical teams to enhance platform reliability. While experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus, the focus is on Linux engineering and SAS administration.
What you will do
* Manage and maintain Linux environments (focus on RedHat)
* Administer and support SAS platforms, including start/stop procedures, environment control and logs
* Troubleshoot performance issues, security challenges and platform incidents
* Write and optimize shell scripts (Bash, Python) to automate daily operations
* Support users, resolve platform issues and ensure stable production environments
* Work in Agile/Scrum teams and collaborate closely with platform engineers and analysts
* Contribute to improvements in system reliability, performance and security
What you bring
* Strong Linux system administration experience (user management, file systems, package management)
* Solid shell scripting skills (Bash, Python)
* Knowledge of SAS installation, architecture and administration
* Understanding of SAS components, execution flow and log locations
* Networking and security fundamentals
* Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* RedHat experience
* Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes (not the main focus, but helpful)
Nice to have:
* SAS SQL understanding (able to read/understand logic, not necessarily write)
* Experience automating workloads or platform processes
